Year 7 Drama Victory
We are absolutely thrilled at the success of our Elms pupils – over a quarter of our school body – at the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts over the past two weeks.
Several people commented to us about the talent and good manners of the children and wanted to know which school they came from. We are inordinately proud of them for that as much as for anything else. We
have reinforced over and over that we participate to boost our skills and learn valuable lessons, and absolutely believe that the biggest win of all is taking part and putting oneself ‘out there’ against some very talented
children. Nevertheless, it is quite an achievement to be able to say that every single Elms child who represented the school came away with at least a Distinction certificate, several with Honours and a goodly
number with medals and trophies. We are so proud of them for dealing with nerves, coping with disappointment, accepting victory gracefully and being all-round jolly good eggs. We really hope that they have all learned as much about themselves as they have about performance. Bravo, all!
