Boarding Life

The Elms is fully committed to boarding and this is supported by the provision for every child in the main school to be allocated a bed. A warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with comfortable accommodation in the dormitories and excellent meals, reflects the family ethos of the school. 

Resident and Non/Resident staff host themed events (many recommended by the children) on Wednesday and Saturday evenings which include"Movies and Popcorn", and an Arabian night! Extra-curricular activities provide action-packed Sundays with a Hare and Hounds Treasure Hunt in the school grounds,  Mountain Boarding at Out to Grass and a trip to Gifford's Circus proving the most popular so far.

For boarders wishing to relax out of school hours, the extensive Grounds, Art Room, Library, Sports Hall and Farm provide the perfect opportunities to do so. Riding is available throughout the school week and children compete regularly in Triathlons and Tetrathlons which are held on Sundays.
